Doha: Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) has organised a ceremony to celebrate ‘This Is My Wish’ programme which fulfils wishes of ill children in hospitals.
The QR80,000 programme was implemented in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), which selected 38 beneficiaries with illnesses, including cancer and speech disorders as well as those with special needs.
Rashid bin Saad Al Mohannadi, Director, Social Development Department, QRC, delivered a keynote speech, wishing  children quick recovery and praising parents’ support.
“Social development is one of QRC’s major departments working to serve Qatari society by helping the vulnerable. Supporting patients is a top priority of our department to help them recover. The programme is designed to offer psychological support to ill children,” he added.
Hanadi Al Moallem, Head of Empowerment, thanked HMC for cooperation on QRC’s local projects and praised QRC volunteers for organising such a successful event.
