KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan reached the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) on Thursday in order to inquire the health of patients suffering from heatstroke in Karachi.

Khan held the center and Sindh government responsible for the deaths, saying that authorities were not prepared even after deaths of hundreds of people in India.

“It is Sindh government’s fault but note that at the end of the day, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is responsible for every governance issue in the country.”

The PTI chief went on to say that the Administrator of Jinnah Hospital Dr. Seemi Jamali told him that people of Karachi are coming forward but the government is nowhere to be seen.

“The royal Zardari family is in Dubai — not one of them is in Karachi”, stated Imran.

“Zardari and Sharif have their assets abroad. I advice the people not to vote who have their assets abroad.”

Khan further said that children are dying while the government is busy playing blame games.

Targetting the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), the PTI chief stated that the metro bus project made in Ahmadabad cost just a third of the Islamabad-Rawalpindi metro bus project.

He also hit out at the Water and Power Minister Khawaja Asif by telling him to have some self-respect and resign.

“Khawaja Asif, how could you say Karachi is not your mandate?”

The PTI chairman further said that the Sindh government has ruined the life of the people of Sindh, adding that if the governance system is better, then the government can respond quickly to any issue.
