Doha: For the fifth year running, Vodafone Qatar has partnered with iLoveQatar.net on a website for all things Ramadan in the country, at www.ramadan.qa designed to be easy to navigate with features to help everyone celebrate and appreciate the holy month.
The website has a calendar of prayer times that can be downloaded on your phone or desktop, SMS notifications, and online daily prayer times. It also has a calendar of events listing places to go to for Iftar, Suhour, entertainment and other fun activities. The list is updated daily.
It also has a mobile version with all features of the full site and is free for Vodafone customers to access on their phones. One of the features is its automatic change of layout with the moon element coming out indicating it’s getting time for Iftar.
Another service is recommended Ramadan applications for iOS and Android smartphones to download on their phones. Apps include prayer timings, Qibla and Athan alarm clocks.
The site has digital Ramadan greeting cards that can be sent to family and friends and a guide, including tips on eating, drinking, dress code and special considerations.
