The General Authority of Customs (GAC), represented by the Land Customs Department, participated in the ‘Travellers’ Day’ programme, implemented by Qatar Tourism, during the Eid Al Fitr celebrations at the Abu Samra port. The Permanent Committee for Ports Management supervises the initiative.
The programme includes distributing gifts to visitors and travellers across land borders during the Eid period. Qatar Tourism had announced that it would hand out Eidya packages to travellers crossing the Abu Samra border during the Eid holidays. The Eidya package includes a children’s activity kit, a map showcasing top attractions to provide visitors with inspiration on what to do and see, an Ooredoo SIM card to stay connected, and a booklet with exclusive, special offers from popular brands and destinations in Qatar.
