Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior announced that social events, including weddings and funeral gatherings, may be held in outdoor spaces, effective from Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
This announcement comes in the interest of public safety and is based on the continuous assessment of the situation by the competent authorities.
"The Ministry herewith emphasizes the necessity of adhering to approved instructions and organizational procedures, and coordinating with the relevant authorities to ensure the safety of attendees and the conduct of these events in a safe and organized environment," it said in a press statement.
Furthermore, the Ministry stressed the importance of compliance with security and safety regulations and urged the avoidance of any practices that may endanger individuals or the community.
The Ministry of Interior further expressed its appreciation for everyone's cooperation, affirming that this commitment reflects community awareness and contributes to enhancing public safety and protecting the security and stability of society.
