Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call today from Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq HE Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani.
At the beginning of the call, HH the Amir and HE the Prime Minister exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, praying that Allah returns it to both countries and their brotherly peoples with goodness and blessings.
Both sides emphasized the importance of de-escalation and prioritizing diplomatic solutions to enhance security and stability in the region.
In this context, HH the Amir reiterated the State of Qatar's condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting a number of countries in the region, stressing that they constitute a violation of state sovereignty and international law.
His Highness also emphasized the necessity of immediately halting these attacks, refraining from using the territory of any country to threaten neighboring states, and the importance of taking the necessary measures to prevent any hostile acts originating from their territories, in order to preserve the security of the region and prevent further escalation.
