Loud explosion, sirens heard in Afghan capital's diplomatic quarter

KABUL: A loud explosion jolted the diplomatic quarter of Afghanistan's capital on Friday evening, breaking a rare period of calm in Kabul. 

Sirens wailed shortly after the blast, but it was unclear where it occurred and if there were any casualties.
