Doha, Qatar: Registration for the Youth Creativity in Data Award, organised by the Ministry of Sports and Youth in Qatar in cooperation with the Gulf Statistical Centre, the National Planning Council, and national statistical centres in the GCC countries, has closed amidst a high level of participation, reflecting the growing interest of Gulf youth in data, artificial intelligence, and the digital economy.
The award aims to support and integrate Gulf efforts in developing national capabilities to practically link data with artificial intelligence and enhance digital and statistical skills among young people in the GCC countries. This contributes to supporting decision-makers, promoting data-driven development, and raising awareness of the importance of the data sector and its role in development. It also aims to engage young people in developing innovative solutions in this vital field.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports and Youth H E Engineer Yasser bin Abdullah Al-Jamal affirmed that the high turnout for the award reflects the growing awareness among Gulf youth of the importance of the data sector and its role in supporting development and decision-making.
