Meteorology warns of thundery rain, strong wind and poor horizontal visibility

Doha, Qatar: Inshore weather until 6pm on Sunday will be partially cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain maybe thundery rain at times, dusty by afternoon, cold by night, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected thundery rain, strong wind and poor horizontal visibility by afternoon.

Offshore, the weather will be partly cloudy with a with a chance of scattered rain maybe thundery rain at times, dusty during the evening, the report added.

Wind inshore will be southeasterly 05-15 KT, shifts to northwesterly 10-20 KT, gusting 30 KT at times by afternoon.

Offshore, it will be southeasterly- southwesterly 12-22 KT, gusting to 32 KT at first, and shifting to northwesterly during the evening.

Sea state inshore will be 2-4 ft, rising to 5 ft while offshore will be 3-7 ft, rising to 10 ft at first.

Inshore visibility will be 4-9/2 km or less at times. Offshore, it will be 5-9/3 KM or less at time.
