Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, five unlicensed individuals have been apprehended for practising specialised cosmetic medical activities in a beauty salon.
The Ministry explained that all necessary legal measures are being taken against the violating practitioners and the establishment, in accordance with the laws and regulations governing the practice of health professions in the State.
This action comes as part of the intensified regulatory efforts undertaken by the MoPH to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards in the health sector.
The Ministry of Public Health called on members of the public to ensure that they obtain health services only from licensed health facilities and from practitioners who hold valid licences issued by the MoPH, to safeguard their safety and ensure access to safe and reliable health services.
The Ministry also clarified that the eligibility and licence status of any healthcare practitioner working in the State can be verified through the electronic “Search for Registered Healthcare Practitioner” service available on the Ministry’s website.
