DOHA: The Chairperson of the Qatar Women’s Sports Committee (QWSC) Lulwa Al Marri met with Hans-Udo Muzel, German Ambassador to Qatar, and discussed maters relating to football in particular and sports in general.
During the course of the meeting the forthcoming friendly between Qatar’s women’s team and the Bayern Munich outfit were also discussed. The two teams clash in Doha on February 2 at the QWSC headquarters.
Doha will be hosting the women’s football team of Bayern Munich from January 27 to February 3.
The Bayern Munich delegation will also visit the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) during their training week in the Qatari capital.
A number of sports personalities and German diplomats will be in attendance at the February 2 friendly, a communique from QWSC said yesterday.
The Bayern Munich delegation is also scheduled to visit the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) headquarters for an informal get together.
The visitors are also scheduled to go for a visit to the desert dunes. The QWSC Chairperson thanked the German ambassador for the meeting and wished to see greater sporting exchanges between the two countries.
