Doha: Top seed and defending champion Cliff Acaso and Reynaldo Amazona defeated Juan David Ramirez and Issa Shannan to win the QTF (Qatar Tennis Federation) Open doubles title
In the title clash at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, Cliff and partner came from a set down to win 5-7, 6-3, 10-6. The players are contesting in Under-12, 14, 18, besides Men’s and Ladies Singles and Doubles. Children below ten years played in three stages - Red, Orange and Greenball, while the veterans above 45 contested in the men’s singles veterans. Cash vouchers worth QR15,000 will distributed by QTF on the final day of the tournament today. The Men’s singles final will be played today.
