Minister of Environment and Climate Change H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie and other ministers from the GCC countries at their meeting in Kuwait yesterday.
DOHA: The State of Qatar took part in the 27th meeting of the Committee of Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs in GCC countries, held in Kuwait yesterday.
Qatar was represented at the meeting by Minister of Environment and Climate Change H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie.
The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including ways to enhance Gulf-wide environmental cooperation, follow up on the implementation of joint strategies and initiatives for environmental protection, and review the efforts of the Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment (ROPME).
The session also featured a presentation highlighting key regional programmes related to marine and environmental sustainability.
