Within the framework of the importance of exchanging musical culture between different countries, the Embassy of Argentina recently held tango nights “Trio Mederos Concert” event in cooperation with Katara Cultural Village.
Katara is the place where people of different cultural backgrounds overcome their cultural boundaries and embrace common causes to promote united humanity.
To let the people know about tango night “Trio Mederos Concert” event aims to advance the overall level of music art and to promote the vocal music communication between the State of Qatar and Argentina.
The event provided with special kind show of tango music by Trio Mederos, famous artiste team in Argentina, which is known for its outstanding performance composed by Rodolfo Mederos Bandoneon, an eclectic repertoire combining classic and modern tango, Armando de la Vega, the guitar player, and Sergio Rivas, the double-bass player.
On making efforts to accelerate the cultural development, Rodolfo Mederos Bandoneon, talked about the history of Tango music during the ages, and explained every part of the music they played, as it is a part of their tradition, expressed how this type of music is nearby heart. Speaking to The Peninsula, Rossana Cecilia Surballe, Ambassador of Argentina, said: “It is important to Argentina embassy to organize such events in a friendly country of Qatar to strengthen our cultural ties which music is essential part of it.”
“It is very nice kind of cultural diversity, Classical Tango music is a very touching kind of music, so it makes everyone feel deep comfort with Argentinean souls touches” Rossana Cecilia Surballe, said. She added that this kind of music is the most popular in Argentina.
Addressing the audience , Ambassador of Argentina said: “I would like to express special gratitude to Dr Khalid AI Sulaiti, and staff of the International Affairs Department of Katara, who always support our initiatives. I am very proud of introducing Trio Mederos this evening, Rodolfo Mederos is one of our most outstanding bandonist, we are really honored to have them here tonight!”.
She also announced the Fifth International Tango Dance Festival in Doha, which will start on 1 November to 4 November, will hold at Intercontinental City Hotel.
