DOHA: The weather bureau has forecast high seas today with northwesterly wind moving between 22km and 46km an hour at times.
However, as the night descends the wind will lose steam offshore.
No warning was issued for inshore with a forecaster telling this newspaper that the weather would likely be less humid today. Northwesterly wind will move inland at speed that may range from nine to 28 km an hour. High wind may throw up dust in the air particularly in the morning but as the day progresses the dust and haze will clear away.
Visibility will not be affected much though, according to the forecaster. It will be between four and eight km.
Deep offshore, waves could reach a height of four to seven feet at times but as the night falls the height may reduce to three to five feet.
The day is expected to be hot today with temperatures soaring up to 35 degrees in Doha, Al Wakrah, Messaieed and Al Khor. Al Ruwais will be relatively cooler as it will witness a maximum temperature of 31 degrees, while in Abu Samra, the day temperature will be 34 degrees C. Nightly temperatures will vary between 22 degrees (Al Khor and Abu Samra) and 27 degrees (Doha).
