New York: Regional Spokesperson for the US Department of State Michael Mitchell affirmed that the relations between the State of Qatar and the United States of America represent a fundamental pillar in enhancing security and stability in the region, stressing his country’s appreciation for the prominent role played by Doha in this regard. Mitchell said that as seen during the visit of the US President H E Donald Trump to the region, Qatari-American relations are of great importance, and they highly value the efforts made by the State of Qatar to promote stability and peace, not only with regard to the negotiations between Hamas and Israel, but also in supporting all efforts aimed at ending conflicts in the region in general.
