Baghdad: The 27th Baghdad International Book Fair is taking place from Sept 2 to 12, with 20 countries, including Qatar, taking part.
Over 600 publishing houses and agencies from Arab and foreign countries will participate, spread across almost 395 booths. Oman will be the guest of honour at the much-anticipated edition, showcasing the country’s literary, intellectual and scientific landscape.
The event is punctuated by a wide diversity of cultural and intellectual programs that feature panel discussions, poetry and critical evenings, with Iraqi and Arab literary and intellectual dignitaries taking part. This is alongside a cultural and artistic symposium to showcase multiple new releases and hold literary and intellectual events.
