Jordan's army intercepts 7 Iranian missiles, 6 drones

Amman: The Jordanian military announced that its air defense systems and Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft shot down seven missiles and six drones launched from Iran that targeted the country today.

Jordan's state news agency, Petra, quoted a military official at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces as saying that the interception operation resulted in no casualties or material damage.

The official added that Royal Engineering Corps teams were dispatched to the sites where debris fell and dealt with it in accordance with established technical and security procedures.

The official also said the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the country's airspace and remain at the highest level of operational readiness to respond to any threat targeting the Kingdom's security and the safety of its citizens.
