DOHA: A total of 322 students have graduated from four Qatar Foundation (QF) pre-university schools.
They include 194 from Academic Bridge Programme (ABP) graduated in May, 95 from Qatar Academy Doha (QA-D) this month, 21 cadets from Qatar Leadership Academy, and 12 students from Awsaj Academy in Education City.
Engineer Saad Ebrahim Al Muhannadi, President, QF, said, “It is with pride that we celebrate academic and personal accomplishments of the students that have graduated, many with the highest grades in their institute’s history.
“Since its founding 20 years ago, QF has established a comprehensive education cycle that provides world-class education options to benefit all students in the country.”
QF’s commitment to develop top level, well-educated graduates is one that began two decades ago when Father Emir
H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani shared a vision with
H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser — that Qatar’s future lies in unlocking the most precious resource of all: Human potential.
As part of this education cycle, QF has established eight pre-university education institutions to prepare students for higher education. Of these schools, the most recent one to hold a graduation ceremony was Awsaj Academy which honoured its students earlier this month.
Awsaj, which serves students with learning challenges in grades K-12, celebrated the dedication of 12 students for overcoming personal challenges to secure a better future for themselves.
One of the first of QF’s pre-university schools to hold graduation events was Academic Bridge Programme, which recognised 194. The fresh batch of graduates took the total of ABP graduates to over 2,500 since the programme was launched in 2010.
This year, the enduring excellence of Qatar Academy Doha, which provides primary and secondary education, was illustrated by its new class of leavers, who achieved the highest grades in the school’s history.
Qatar Leadership Academy graduated its eighth batch. Students from QF’s four other schools also completed studies for this year. Qatar Academy Al Khor, Qatar Academy Msheireib, Qatar Academy Al Wakra and Qatar Academy Sidra students will return to school for the new academic year in September.
