The Special Education and Care for Talented Students at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education yesterday announced that it has begun receiving applications from children with disabilities seeking admission in government schools for the academic year 2017/2018.
The categories that can apply include those with hydrocephaly, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, mild intellectual disability, moderate intellectual disability, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability Syndromes and Cochlear Implant, among others.
Registration will continue until May 25. Interested parents need to present all necessary documents like passports, IDs, certificates, Kharama bills, heath file and health reports (translated into Arabic) and a letter from the parents' workplace.
