UN war crimes judges begin Karadzic verdict hearing

The Hague: UN war crimes judges on Thursday began delivering a long-awaited verdict against former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, accused of genocide during the brutal break-up of the former Yugoslavia.

"The chamber is sitting today to deliver its judgement in this case," the presiding judge said after Karadzic took his seat at the tribunal in The Hague.
