Doha, Qatar: Minister of State for International Cooperation H E Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad met yesterday with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees H E Dr. Barham Salih, on the sidelines of the High-Level Segment of the 61st session of the Human Rights Council held in Geneva.
During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation and relations between the State of Qatar and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and discussed ways to enhance the partnership to support humanitarian response in crisis regions.
The Minister of State for International Cooperation reaffirmed the State of Qatar’s firm commitment to supporting the UNHCR’s efforts in protecting refugee rights and providing urgent relief aid, driven by its belief in multilateral collective action to alleviate human suffering.
