Doha, Qatar: beIN MEDIA GROUP (“beIN”), the leading global sports, entertainment and media group, is collaborating with the College of Education at Qatar University through an academic-industry initiative connecting students to its flagship children’s channels (Jeem TV, Baraem, and beJUNIOR). The partnership provides the College of Education students with practical experience in media content evaluation while strengthening the quality and educational value of children’s programming across the region.

Delivered under beIN’s CSR platform, beIN ACADEMY, the initiative enables the College of Education students to apply academic knowledge within a professional media environment. Under the joint supervision of beIN’s content specialists, and Qatar University faculty, participating students are taught how to assess and analyse children’s programmes broadcast across beIN’s platforms, gaining hands-on experience in editorial standards, critical thinking, and content evaluation.

Commenting on the partnership, Latifa Abdullah Al Mana, Director of Kids Content and Channels at beIN MEDIA GROUP, said: “At beIN, children’s content is built on responsibility, creativity, and cultural authenticity. Our collaboration with the College of Education at Qatar University reflects our commitment to maintaining the highest editorial standards while creating meaningful learning opportunities for college students. By connecting academic insight with industry expertise, we are helping shape a generation of media professionals equipped to contribute to and build the future of children’s programming in our region.”

Professor Asma Al-Attiyah, Dean of the College of Education at Qatar University, added: “At the College of Education, we believe that meaningful learning happens when theory meets practice. This collaboration with beIN provides our students with a unique opportunity to engage critically with children’s media while contributing to the development of responsible, culturally grounded content.”

This programme reflects beIN’s broader commitment to producing safe, inspiring, and enriching content that promotes core values such as self-worth, acceptance, freedom, and cultural identity. It also strengthens the connection between academia and industry, supports youth engagement in the creative economy, and contributes to Qatar’s growing media ecosystem.

beIN ACADEMY is an educational programme designed to equip students in Qatar with the insights, skills, and tools needed to thrive in both the national and international media industry. It encompasses volunteering opportunities, workshops, and internships, offering hands-on experience across the sports, entertainment, and broadcasting sectors.

The partnership builds on the long-standing relationship between beIN and Qatar University, which has resulted in numerous successful initiatives since 2020. It also further supports the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 by investing in local talent and knowledge development.
