Doha: The 2017 edition of the Workers Cup kicks off today under the organisation of Qatar Stars League and the sponsorship of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), offering an opportunity for workers to compete and prove the power of football and its great impact.
The opening match will be played at Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium at Qatar Sports Club and will be preceded by an opening ceremony.
The fifth edition of the tournament will see the participation of more than 600 players competing for 32 teams, surpassing the 24 teams that took part in the previous edition.
