The academic researcher Ali bin Saad Al Naimi gave a briefing on the results of the initial phase of his study on the subject.
In the panel discussion, all the attendees discussed several topics including: Land reclamation and impact of human activities on the shape of Doha coast; raising level of the coast and its impact on the marine environment; proposals to reduce the risk of contamination and the role of media and education institutions in helping reduce the risks of pollution.
Al Naimi revealed that the reclamation projects on Doha coast had polluted the marine environment dramatically over the past few years.
