Quality Group of Companies organised a one day football tournament for their 3000 employees at Doha Sports Stadium recently to mark the National Sport Day.
The tournament started with a colourful procession of all players and ended with prizes distribution by the veteran Indian football player Ashif Saheer.
Shamsudheen Olakara, Managing Director of Quality Group, inaugurated the football tournament. He said that the sport and related events play a very crucial role in developing a healthy society and it is really glad to see that Sports Day gives many opportunities to enhance the same. He also added that Quality Group will always be in upfront for organizing these kind of events.
The players participated in the tournament were from 23 companies under Quality Group and eight teams from the various divisions were qualified for playing the quarter final matches.
Quality Retail Group – B won the final beating QGC Lifeline.
Aboonavas, General Manager – Quality Retail Group, Sajeev Pushpamangalam, General Manager – Quality Group, and Moideen, Group Operations Manager controlled the tournament and related events.
