Doha, Qatar: The Criminal Investigation Department at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations arrested an individual of Asian descent for conducting unauthorised currency exchange operations.
Through search and investigation operations, the suspect was caught receiving money in local currency in exchange for certain Asian currency.
Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted what he was accused of, with cash amounts and financial receipts found also in his possession.
The accused and the seized items were both referred to the competent authorities to proceed with legal procedures pertaining to the matter.
