CAIRO: Security and military forces were Friday deployed outside the key state institutions near Tahrir Square in Cairo where the opposition plans a mass rally.
Security has been tightened outside the parliament building, the cabinet offices and near the Interior Ministry headquarters, as protesters started to converge on Tahrir.
Some protesters stationed at Mohamed Mahmoud street for the fifth consecutive day, last night threw Molotov cocktails and rocks at police, who have fired tear gas and birdshot at the demonstrators. (QNA)
