Berlin: Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has confirmed that the winter training camp will be held in Doha for the eighth year in a row.

In a press statement ahead of Bayern Munich’s match against Hamburg in the Bundesliga, Jupp Heynckes said the camp would be held in Doha at the end of December or early January 2018 and would last from one week to 10 days.

Bayern Munich coach also said he had discussed with officials two possibilities about the date of the Qatar camp according to the German Cup calendar. The German Cup quarter-final will be held on December 16 or 17, after the last match of the first half of the Bundesliga.

Because of the World Cup in the summer of 2018, the second half of the Bundesliga will start early in comparison to the past years, and it will be in mid-January. Heynckes also ruled that his players would spend New Year’s Eve in Qatar. He declared that the players will be with their families on the New Year’s Eve.
