Emir in Istanbul, discusses Syrian crisis with Erdogan

Istanbul: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul today.
At the meeting, which was held at Istanbul's Huber Palace, they also discussed regional developments, especially in Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Yemen and Libya. 
The meeting focused on repercussions of the Syrian crisis in the region and the international community as a whole. The Emir and Turkish President emphasized the importance of concerted international efforts to seek a resolution that would stop the war in Syria.
The Emir and the President of Turkey also discussed the situation in Iraq, particularly the recent developments in the city of Mosul, the importance of fighting terrorism and the preservation of Iraq's unity.
The meeting was attended by members of the delegation accompanying the Emir, while on the Turkish side it was attended by Turkish ministers.
