Doha: The Ministry of Sports and Youth, in cooperation with Saif Al Ghariya Youth Center, organised the “You Can Do It 2026” event on Tuesday at the Saif Al Ghariya Youth Camp. Fifty young people from youth centers and committees, aged 14-18, participated.

The event programme included a diverse range of sports and recreational activities, such as “Tele-Match” competitions, kayaking activities in cooperation with the Marine Sports Center, and shooting experiences in cooperation with the Sports Shooting Center.

A football league and a volleyball league were also organised, providing participants with an opportunity to develop their physical skills, enhance teamwork, and gain practical experience in communication, cooperation, and responsibility.

In this context, Deputy Director of Saif Al-Ghariya Youth Center Ahmed Al-Ansari affirmed that the “You Can Do It 2026” event embodies the vision of the Ministry of Sports and Youth to prepare a generation that possesses self-confidence and the ability to face challenges. This is achieved through high-quality programmes that combine learning through practice with sports and recreational activities, contributing to the development of young people’s personalities and honing their talents in various fields.

He pointed out that the diversity of activities featured in the event reflects the commitment to providing a comprehensive experience that meets the interests of the participants and contributes to strengthening the values of leadership, teamwork, cooperation, and responsibility.  Furthermore, it helps discover the latent potential of young people and develop their skills in a safe and stimulating environment.

He emphasised that these initiatives constitute one of the fundamental pillars in supporting the empowerment of youth and enhancing their role as active partners in serving the community and contributing to the national development process.

This comes as part of the summer programmes implemented by the Ministry of Sports and Youth, which aim to invest the time of young people during the summer vacation and develop their physical and leadership abilities, through activities that combine purposeful entertainment and sports challenges, based on its commitment to providing quality programmes that enrich the time of young people, contribute to building their capabilities, and enhance their positive participation in society, in line with the objectives of Qatar’s National Youth Strategy and the state’s vision of investing in human beings as the basic pillar of sustainable development.
