Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has concluded the fourth edition of the summer training programme for 2023, with the participation of 58 male and female students from the secondary and university levels.
The programme aimed to introduce students to the ministry’s vision and mission, provide them with administrative skills, and familiarise them with the work environment.
In this context, Head of Training and Management Development at the Ministry’s Human Resources Department, Dr. Mohammed Khalifa Al Kubaisi explained that the students participating in the summer training programme benefited greatly and acquired many practical skills, which include teamwork skills, secretarial and correspondence skills, book preparation and printing, meeting management, interaction and communication skills with others, in addition to providing the participants with many practical values, including the value of time commitment and self-reliance.
Al Kubaisi said that the programme has succeeded, and the fruits of training and rehabilitation appeared clearly through the graduation projects presented by each participant.
In addition, the students reviewed the activities and programmes of the Ministry’s departments, their specialisations, and the educational, advocacy and social services they provide to the community.
He pointed out that the programme comes to achieve the pillar of human development in the national vision of the state in terms of caring for students and putting them on the right path, involving them in the field of work, qualifying them for the practical future and adhering to the Qatarisation policy, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Endowments to provide an integrated summer program that helps students obtain scientific and practical skills and abilities that will benefit them after completing their scientific studies and joining the field of work.
During the closing ceremony of the summer training programme, the male and female students participating in the programme presented their graduation projects through PowerPoint, benefiting from artificial intelligence programmes and applications and what they learned throughout the practical training period.
