DOHA: The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has clarified that it was not responsible for the delay in resuming power supply to a residential complex in Fareej Abdul Azees area.
Reacting to media reports that nearly 60 families living in these residential complex were forced to live outdoors due to the delay in resuming power supply, Kahramaa’s public relations department said it had promptly responded to the complaint by sending a technical team to the place. Kahramaa officials detected that the problem was with the faulty power supply board within the complex.
Going by Kahramaa’s rules, the building owners are expected to fix their faulty distribution boards. Accordingly, the officials informed the building owner to get in touch with the concerned department of Kahramaa before fixing the distribution board. Kahramaa’s guidelines restricts officials from resuming power supply before fixing the distribution board, Kahramaa said yesterday.
Kahramaa is ready to receive any complaints from its valued customers round-the-clock. Customers are free to contact Kahramaa via its official website, twitter account or call centre 991, it said.
