Ministry of Awqaf opens two new mosques
Doha: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has opened two new mosques that can accommodate 856 worshippers in Rawdat Qadeem and Abu Hamour as part of its plan to double the number of mosques to keep up with population growth in various areas of the country.
The new mosque in Rawdhat Qadeem can accommodate 450 men worshippers and 60 women while the mosque in Abu Hamour can accommodate 280 male worshippers and 66 women. The two mosques have been equipped with facilities for prayers as well as residences of imams, muezzins and guards.QNA
