Doha, Qatar: One day after CBS aired the final episode of 'The Late Show' with Stephen Colbert, US President Donald Trump posted an AI video of throwing the host into a dumpster.
The 22-second clip, published at 2:34am on May 23, 2026, was posted without any captions and had garnered over 41 million views on X as of the time of writing, at 12pm Doha time. It shows Trump coming up behind the host Colbert as he welcomes people to the final broadcast, grabbing him by the collar, picking him up, and throwing him into the nearby trash bin. The President then does his signature fist-dance.

Paul McCartney led an all-star lineup for the final episode as host Colbert signed off after more than a decade on air.
Trump hailed the end of "The Late Show" on Friday, posting on his Truth Social platform: "Colbert is finally finished at CBS. Amazing that he lasted so long!"
"No talent, no ratings, no life... Thank goodness he's finally gone!" the president added.
