Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a phone call with the President of the United States of America HE Donald Trump.
During the call, the two sides reviewed the latest developments in the region, particularly regional and international efforts aimed at consolidating calm and reducing escalation, foremost among them support for the diplomatic efforts led by Pakistan, in a manner that spares the region further tensions and preserves international peace and security.
The call also addressed the importance of continuing dialogue channels to address current issues, safeguard maritime security and the safety of strategic waterways, and ensure the smooth flow of global energy supplies and supply chains.
His Highness the Amir reaffirmed during the call the State of Qatar’s firm position advocating peaceful solutions and supporting all initiatives aimed at containing the crisis through dialogue and diplomacy, in a way that enhances stability and serves the interests of the peoples of the region and the world.
