Doha, Qatar: President of National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) H E Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Maliki met yesterday with Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google, Karan Bhatia, on the sidelines of the launch of Google Cloud in Doha.
The meeting discussed ways and aspects of cooperation between NCSA and Google, in addition to reviewing the importance of the agency’s role in making cyber policies in Qatar, and the importance of the projects and programmes it offers with the aim of enhancing cyber security and providing a safe cyber environment in accordance with the latest systems and international best practices in this field.
The two sides touched on a number of important issues, on top of which is Google’s commitment to participate in the digital and technological transformation plans in Qatar, and expanding its presence in a number of projects aimed at enhancing cyber and digital capabilities in Qatar and the region, in addition to the role it will play in the ongoing technological progress in the region.
This meeting is part of NCSA’s efforts to enhance and keep abreast of developments in cyber fields at the highest levels and with the best international practices in the field, in addition to strengthening partnerships with global cyber institutions, and building important new partnerships in order to reach a safe cyber environment.
