Cairo: The State of Qatar participated in a coordination meeting at the level of permanent representatives to the League of Arab States, held Wednesday at the General Secretariat’s headquarters, in preparation for the sixth Arab-European ministerial meeting scheduled to take place in Jordan, from June 22 to 23.
The delegation of the State of Qatar was headed by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States H E Sheikh Jassim bin Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad Al-Thani.
During the meeting, the permanent representatives of the Arab member states were briefed on the latest developments regarding preparations for the sixth Arab-European ministerial meeting.
Discussions also addressed the declaration set to be adopted at the meeting, which will include intensifying coordination and unifying joint efforts to confront escalating challenges, in light of the repercussions of Iranian attacks on the Gulf Cooperation Council states and Jordan, which constitute a flagrant threat to regional and international security.
The sixth Arab-European ministerial meeting comes within the framework of the Arab and European sides’ commitment to maintaining dialogue tracks and advancing mechanisms of joint cooperation between Arab countries and the European Union states.
