Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received yesterday a written message from President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro. The message was delivered by the Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Minister Delcy Rodriguez during a meeting with the Emir at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
Doha: There was a brief power disruption at Hamad General Hospital last evening which was caused by a contractor undertaking excavation works on the grounds of the hospital, the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) said yesterday. The issue was quickly addressed by Kharaama and HMC’s engineering teams and power was restored to most areas of the hospital within a short period of time, it added. “Every measure was taken to ensure patient care was not impacted and the hospital has resumed normal operations,” said an HMC statement yesterday.
Riyadh: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia received the credentials of Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamir Al Thani as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Qatar in Riyadh. The Ambassador conveyed greetings of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the Saudi King and wishes to the Saudi people of further progress and prosperity. The Saudi King entrusted the ambassador with his greeting to the Emir, wishing him best of health and happiness and Qatar continued progress.
