Doha: Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) H E Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit met on Monday with Chiefs of Staff and Commanders of the armed forces of a number of sisterly and friendly countries, on the sidelines of Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2022).

The Chief of Staff met with  Chief of the General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia H E Lt. Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed Al Ruwaili;  Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army of the  People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria H E Lt. Gen. Said Chanegriha; Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Arab Republic of Egypt H E Lt. Gen. Osama Rushdi Askar; Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command Vice Admiral H E Brad Cooper; Commander of the GCC Unified Military Command H E Lt. Gen. Eid bin Awad Al Shalawi;  Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Djibouti H E Gen. Zakaria Cheikh Ibrahim;  Chairman of Joint Information of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H E Maj. Gen. Ishaq Khattak; and Assistant Secretary-General for Military Affairs at the GCC General Secretariat H E Maj. Gen. Ahmed Ali Al Ali.

The meetings discussed issues of mutual concern, and reviewed aspects of cooperation and means of promoting and developing them. A number of high-ranking officers of Qatar Armed Forces attended the meetings.
