H E Solt Mortazavi chaired yesterday the sixth meeting of the Joint Qatari-Iranian Committee in the field of labour, held in Doha.
The committee discussed the latest developments in bilateral relations between the two countries in the labour sector and related issues, including the adoption of professional standards, ways to enhance occupational safety and health tools towards a model work environment, vocational training, and other topics on the agenda.
Following the committee meeting, a record of the meeting was signed between the two parties, aimed at enhancing capabilities, exchanging expertise, developing consultation mechanisms between the two countries, and cooperation in the field of vocational and technical training and training centres.
It also aims to enhance the level of cooperation in labour relations, employment, and entrepreneurship, and to prepare a draft for a joint action plan for cooperation over the next five years.
