Riyadh: Secretary-General of the GCC Dr. Abdul Latif Al Zayani condemned Saturday the kidnapping of news media team belonging to Al Jazeera news network that was reporting from Taiz, Yemen.
Al Zayani said the kidnapping was in contrast to all international laws, which guarantees freedom of speech. He called on the international community to condemn the crime, which he added aimed to prevent media outlets from revealing the truth behind the siege enforced on the Yemeni city.
