Constructed in 2004, LIC made its debut that same year by hosting the first ever Qatar Grand Prix, marking the country’s entry into the MotoGP World Championship.
Since 2008, the Qatar Grand Prix has established itself as one of the most visually appealing events on the MotoGP calendar with its unique night time racing format. To this day, it remains the only venue on the calendar to host night races.
The combination of cutting edge facilities and the iconic illumination of LIC creates an unparalleled spectacle that has become a hallmark of the championship.
