Beirut: The Ministry of Culture concluded on Sunday its participation in the 8th edition of the 2023 Lebanon International Book Fair, which commenced on October 13, organized by the Lebanese Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Publishers' Union.
The Ministry of Culture's pavilion at the exhibition received visits from several officials and intellectuals who familiarized themselves with various Qatari cultural releases and diverse intellectual production. They also closely observed the remarkable progress in the publishing and printing industry in Qatar.
Director of the Libraries Department at the Ministry of Culture Jassem Ahmed Al Buainain stated that the ministry's participation in the Lebanon International Book Fair aimed to strengthen Qatari-Lebanese cultural cooperation and expand collaboration with those working in the fields of culture and publishing in Lebanon and various Arab countries.
The 8th Lebanon International Book Fair saw the participation of several Qatari publishing houses among 277 publishers from 21 Arab and foreign countries, alongside 155 Lebanese private and official publishing houses.
