DOHA: To commemorate the Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October, Q-Auto is supporting the cause with a pink overhaul at their main Audi showroom on Salwa Road.
This year, the official dealer of Audi has again joined hands with Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) to help promote breast cancer awareness among its staff and the larger community. It has decorated showroom windows with personalised pink ribbons and other striking pink decorations that embody the month.
It has also encouraged staff to show support by wearing pink ribbon lapel pins, as well as distributing breast cancer leaflets to customers and clients throughout the month. The leaflet contains information on symptoms, treatment methods and benefits of early detection of breast cancer.
QCS donation boxes have been placed at strategic locations throughout the showroom, for customers and staff.
Anthony Kwan, Marketing Manager, Audi Qatar, said, “We consider it our social responsibility to help spread awareness about the disease. We have launched our campaign in collaboration with QCS to create a supportive sense of responsibility among our staff, their families and customers.
“We are happy to aid QCS endeavours in its fight against breast cancer.” Mariam Hamad Al Nouaimi, General Manager, QCS,  said, “We are proud to join hands with companies like Audi Qatar which are committed to making a difference in society. For October in particular, we are focused on highlighting the importance of early detection of breast cancer and its prevention.” According to studies about 31 percent of women in Qatar have breast cancer.
