Doha: Indian Women’s Association (IWA), a non-profitable entity established in 1986 under the aegis of Indian Cultural Centre of the Indian embassy, will host the 19th Inter School Quiz competition tomorrow at Birla Public School.
The contest was launched in 1996 and has grown in prestige and stature.
It is open to all students of national and expatriate schools in the country.
The quiz tests students’ knowledge in subjects, including literature, science, geography, sports, music and current international affairs, among others.
Participation in the challenging and fun-filled event would enhance students’ knowledge and competitive spirit.
This year, grade 3 students can take part, along with VII, VIII and IX.
The Quiz Master is Siddhartha Basu, Head, BIG Synergy Media Limited and Tree of Knowledge.
He started with Quiz Time on Doordarshan network, and moved on to host and produce ‘Spectrum’, the seven-nation Saarc Quiz, ‘The India Quiz’, and ‘The Beanstalk Quiz Summit ‘(On Doordarshan), ‘Mastermind India’, ‘University Challenge’ on BBC World and ‘India’s Child Genius’ on Star World.
