The Sri Lankan Embassy has called for applications from Sri Lankan expatriates in Qatar to participate in the ‘Ratawiruwo Talent Star’ Programme, Season-2.
The ‘Ratawiruwo Talent Star’ Programme completed Season 1 on a grand scale in which the title winner and the 4th runner up were expatriates from Qatar.
The Ratawiruvo Talent Star Programme aimed at the Sri Lankan migrant workers is an initiative by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Employment, Promotion and Welfare (MFEPW) and Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) to recognise and appreciate the contribution made to the national economy by the Sri Lanka workers abroad and also to recognize the hidden talents of Sri Lankan expatriates.
The Sri Lankan expatriate workers who are already registered with the SLBFE can apply to participate in this show. The applications are available at the Embassy of Sri Lanka, No. 4, Shara Kharja, Al Hilal, Doha and at Sri Lankan restaurants in Qatar. Those who do not possess valid SLBFE registration can obtain their registration from the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Qatar between 8am-1pm on any working day.
Contestants should hand over the duly completed application forms on or before November 4 to the Embassy before 1pm. Late applications will not be entertained.
The venue, date and the time of the preliminary rounds for the shortlisted contestants would be notified by SMS.
Twenty contestants will be short listed for the final recording to be held in January 2015 in Qatar.
