Lanka Lions Nite to be held tomorrow

The annual Lanka Lions Nite will be held for the 26th consecutive year at the Giwana Ballroom of Radisson Blu Hotel in Doha with a dinner dance tomorrow at 8pm with the gates opening at 7pm and a musical extravaganza on October 24 starting at 4.30pm with the gates opening at 3.30pm. 
The popular band Burn (pictured) together with famous artiste Corrine Almeida and Derana Dream Star Keshan Shashindra arrived in Doha last night to perform at this event. 
The band Burn was formed in October 2010 by Corrine Almeida along with her brother Kevin. The band caters to all types of audiences who enjoy different types of music and song and they perform at leading hotels in Colombo and at many dances and other events. 
This is the bands very first visit to Doha and their first appearance at the Lanka Lions Nite. Corrine has performed at this event in the past too and is no stranger to the Sri Lankan community in Qatar as she has enthralled them with her scintillating performances in the past. 
The band consists of Kevin Almeida on guitar and vocals, Pramoth Fernando on drums, Eranjan Perera on base and vocals, Thushara Fernando on keyboards, Manoj Sheriff on guitar and vocals with Corrine Almeida on vocals. 
Keshan Shashindra who was adjudged as the Derana Dream Star during Deranas much talked about Reality Program which was held in Sri Lanka is performing in Doha for the very first time too. He was adjudged the winner from amongst many other participants for his talent in enthralling his fans by singing famous baila songs.
