New Abu Dhabi airport to be operational by July 2017

Labourers working at the construction site of Abu Dhabi’s new airport terminal yesterday. The Dh10.8bn ($2.9bn) airport will be operational in July 2017, aiming to double passenger capacity, Tony Douglas, Chief Executive of Abu Dhabi Airports, said. The 700,000 square metres terminal is designed to boost the capacity of the airport to 30 million passengers annually and will be used by Etihad Airways and its partners.
