Doha, Qatar: The Next Generation School (TNG) and ILM Education Consultants have formalised a landmark partnership to deliver a structured, high-level professional development programme in pedagogy for educators across TNG’s seven campuses.
The agreement was marked at a signing ceremony held at TNG Al-Wakra Secondary Campus, attended by representatives from the British Council, the Embassy of Pakistan, community partners, academic partners, TNG leadership, and ILM Education Consultants.
The partnership represents a significant investment in teacher quality at TNG, recognising a principle at the heart of the school’s educational philosophy: the quality of student learning is inseparable from the quality of the professional learning teachers undertake.
Unlike conventional workshop-based training, the new programme is designed as a rigorous, reflective pathway that supports teachers to engage with educational research, examine their own practice, and translate new ideas into measurable classroom impact. It moves beyond campus-specific professional development to create a unified, high-quality experience for educators across all seven TNG campuses.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of The Next Generation School, Riyaz Ahmed Bakali, reaffirmed the school’s commitment to continuous professional growth: The initiative builds on TNG’s existing culture of Inquiry, Evidence, reflective practice and data-informed decision-making. Principal of TNG, Ailia Rizvi, emphasised the school’s approach to professional learning the programme will be delivered in partnership with ILM Education Consultants, a specialist provider of leadership development and school improvement support. CEO of ILM Education Consultants, Iram Myford, introduced the initiative and outlined how the programme will support TNG educators in developing their pedagogical practice.
The presence of representatives from the British Council, the Embassy of Pakistan, community partners, and partner schools at the signing ceremony reflects the partnership’s broader significance within Qatar’s educational landscape. It signals growing recognition of TNG’s commitment to international standards of teacher development and its role in advancing educational quality across the region.
